A survey of fungi in this lovely mixed woodland near Hamptworth, grid ref. SU242201. Meet inside Gate 5 at 10.00 a.m. (what3words ref.: https://w3w.co/grafted.origins.slept). Maximum of about 12 cars can be accommodated in the limited parking available, so try to share car space wherever possible. Estimated duration 1 - 2 hours surveying plus time for displaying and identifying finds. Bring snacks/refreshments as desired. No toilet facilities in wood. There may be deer ticks in the vegetation at this time of year, so wear appropriate clothing (trousers tucked into socks advised rather than shorts) to protect against tick or insect bites.
