Shell Bay

An amble along the tidal zone of Shell Bay to collect & identify different shells etc on the falling tide. Low tide is about 12.30. In addition Phil Read has offered to bring his telescope to see birds in the bay and in Poole harbour. Meet at 10 am at Shell Bay, National Trust Car Park. Pay & Display or bring NT card. Toilets at CP (and at Studland Bay 2 miles distant which has a shop & café). Bring a hot drink and snack and wear warm clothes and bring (Wellington) boots as we cross an often deep stream to reach the shore. The ferry from Sandbanks to Shell Bay may not be working so do check before setting out. Otherwise drive via Wareham and through Studland village. Organiser Ailsa McKee.
